Sandy Shores - June 2008
Two groups went to Sandy Shores – one leaving at 8am departure and the other was Steve and I at 2pm.

The days were full of nothing, exploring, fishing (one very large Saratoga) and some swimming (the water was freezing, so I was told), I had a couple of goes at making damper in the camp oven even one dessert. The nights of course were the usual around the campfire.

We went for the loop drive as usual, but this time the tracks had changed a little because a dozer and grader had been through. It was a much quicker drive and fun because of the rain. Boys will be boys and there was a bit of slippin’ and sliding.

The terrain has changed a lot at the waterhole where we camped because of the amount of water that must have been rushed through exposing heaps of rocks. There were a couple of stumbles. We only had 4 vehicles in total but as usual we all managed to have yet another fantastic week-end.
